Detailed description

Disabling: error messages / warnings displayed in instrument cluster

Modification of Dashboard and ECU configuration after bike customs according to customer specification for switching off error messages and warning lamps.
Disabling Examples ...

  • ABS: disable ABS! error lamp and message in instrument cluster and prevents driving mode switching got stuck on RR 2010-2014 models
  • Dynamic damping control: disable "DDC!" error in instrument cluster
  • LAMP: turn off bulbs and indicators error messages
  • RDC / tire pressure control: after conversion to std. valves
  • DWA / anti-theft module: after removal of anti-theft warning system
  • Fuel reserve light/warning: for use of tank foam or also if its only disturbing
    Alternatives: reduction of fuel level for warning
  • SOS / emergency call: after removal of this systems
  • Disable unnecessary menus to get to settings faster (navigation / phone / media not required for race track)
  • ... (eg grip heater, cruise control, etc)

Disabling: service reminders

Service / maintainace indicator or service message in the instrument cluster will become completely disabled.

Modification: synchronization of dashboard and ECU odometer

  • Synchronization of odometer in DASH and ECU (e.g. spare Dash in case of crash)
  • TFT display: Odometer is then displayed in white again (not red)
  • LCD Display: Odometer is then displayed constantly (no longer flashes)
  • Synchronization of odometer only to higher value of both

ABS cover plate (optional in combination with disabling of ABS)

In cooperation with FlatOut performance parts you can also purchase a cover plate for the ABS control unit from us.

  • Addition when disabling the ABS
  • Weight saving of up to 2,5kg by disassembling the ABS hydraulic block
  • Protection of the circuit board against dirt and humidity by closed component with sealing strip
  • Mounting screws included in delivery scope

Extension: Start screen = Last screen

  • Programming of the TFT for remember last screen
  • TFT does not start in Pure Ride screen but in last set display.
  • Saving of the last display on the same day, the next day the TFT starts again in Pure Ride view.

Extension: Lap trigger switching to external

  • We unlock the TFT instrument for the processing of an external finish line signal.
  • In addition, we enable the required gauges (e.g. on S1000R or F900R) - on some models this requires the activation of the sport gauges (e.g. R1250GS)
  • No more need to trigger the lap time signals via the high beam switch
  • Possible on many models with TFT instrument
  • Whether the instrument cluster is already enabled can be checked via the laptimer menu (selection option "Laptrigger = external", see picture)

Preconditions:

  • For the triggering of the finish line signal (Laptimer) an appropriate GPS module (see below) is needed - available via Motorrad Unger
  • For models without sports gauges (e.g. R1250GS), the activation of sports gauges is additionally required

Extension: Sport gauges for BMW Motorrad TFT

  • Enabling of sport gauges for BMW Motorrad TFT displays
  • No need for an R1250R HP or S1000 model to be able to use sport gauges
  • Can be combined with activation of the lap timer incl. sport gauges 2 (or further wishes)
  • Attention: Pure Ride and menu views change to the blue sport look
