We support the DLC 2022!

The German Endurance Cup (DLC) has been thrilling racers and fans for many years. We have been supporting participants in the DLC for many years with our motorsport sponsorship. This year there is a new team around alignment and marketing of the DLC with the motto "MAKE DLC GREAT AGAIN". It has already worked for us and this year we support the DLC not only as a participant sponsor but also as a partner of the race series.

We wish all participants and all those involved in the organization of the DLC races a great season and are already looking forward to reporting from the first race - 1000km Hockenheim.

Ladies feedback on Race Mapping

Ladies also have a lot of fun on the racetrack. Because there are unfortunately still few ladies on the racetrack, we are very pleased about following feedback - thank you Thea.

"In spring 2021 my ECU was at RS²E. Everything summarized in one word: Hammer! But one after the other. The control unit came back, a friend helped me to learn everything again. At my first race track in 2021, I was already a little queasy in the stomach. What comes on me b.z.w. what makes my moped with me, how does the new software [Race Mapping], questions about questions ... After initial cautious approach and try out the new software, I gradually got along better and better. What has improved everything, here are some points that have helped me especially to control my *Elly* better and to drive faster. The response when accelerating, direct but sensitive. The smooth acceleration, without speed hole, up to the red zone. The guys in my clique have raved to me about the CUT - TC they were right, dreamlike. The great working TC has given me so much confidence ... that the data recording now says that the Wheelycontrol is starting to work *grin*. Thanks guys and now I'm looking forward to the 2022 season."

Customer feedback on Race Mapping PRO S

Even with the stock exhaust system, you can have a lot of fun with our Race Mapping PRO. Therefore, we are very grateful to have received and publish the following feedback.

"I was from ... in Portimao and could test my new bike. Unfortunately, we had changeable weather on two days ... However, the first day was sunny. Based on the experience with your software on the HP4, I also quickly found reasonable settings on the new one and must say it really works great. At the beginning I had the traction control set very conservatively, came out of any corner and all drove away from me on the straight. Quickly adjusted the DTC and then all have looked stupid. Super that you can hear the DTC so beautiful and regulates so fine. In the picture you can see how the wheelie control keeps the front wheel on the ground. I'm just driving at full throttle towards the first crest, after which it then goes downhill strongly. The rest has also worked perfectly for me so far. So from me only positive feedback.
PS: It was my first time in Portimao and I'm looking forward to tracks I already know. Assen is coming up in May and hope to improve my time there."

GPS Laptimer module and activation now available!

Already last year we started to enable the TFT for automatic lap time display for some customers. To send the GPS finish line signal, however, a data rocording was necessary until now. Because many of our customers are only interested in the lap time and do not want to spend a lot of money for a data recording we looked for a partner for a GPS module. We are happy that the guys from Motorrad Unger have taken up this challenge and bring a corresponding GPS trigger module to the market. Currently the first modules are delivered and the homepage is also under construction. (Pre)orders are accepted at elektronik@motorrad-unger.de.

For all non RR riders: this works for all BMW models with TFT display.

Thank you for a great 2025!

With this news article, we would like to thank all interested readers of our homepage and subscribers to our newsletter! We look back with gratitude on a great year. A year with many more highlights than those that made it into a news article. We also neglected our public relations work somewhat so that we could be there for our customers 100%. The overwhelming amount of appreciation we receive in the form of positive feedback via email, Google, telephone, etc. is our motivation to keep going. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This year, we were once again able to make a donation to the DRF Luftrettung and the Wings for Life Foundation.

The special thing behind the picture for this article: No - not the cookies on the GS! We retrofitted the original BMW seat heating to this BMW R1300GS in cooperation with Motorrad Pielmeier in Tiefenbach.

Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays and a healthy and successful 2026 season to all!
Robert and Rainer

Power Mapping PRO V2026 now available!

This year we are once again working intensively on further improving our mappings for the M/S1000 models. We are starting with our Power Mapping PRO with the following new features / improvements:

  • Now also available for M1000RR from 2025, S1000XR from 2024 and S1000R from 2025
  • Completely revised combustion tuning for smoother engine running at low engine speeds/loads (mainly affects R/XR models), further improved response and slightly improved maximum torque/performance in some cases.
  • Improved throttle response; especially wider spread between "soft" and "direct"
  • Further improved shift assistant for even smoother and more precise shifting with further reduced "false neutral" risk - only RR 2023+, XR 2024+, R 2025+
  • Improved power limitation for even smoother acceleration phases with as little wheelie control intervention as possible (can be switched off via riding mode / ENGINE setting) - RR, MXR, MR models only

And also a first feedback - thanks again to Marcel, Germany, S1000XR 2021 - update from v24 to v26 + short throttle:

"Package arrived yesterday, installed straight away, short throttle grip also screwed on. Everything worked out great [...] Rough conclusion after 50 km lap: no more jerking. I also rode in every gear and really made sure to ride constantly to feel any jerking, but it's simply no longer there. The torque is similar or the same as the old mapping [...]. Apart from that, the bike is much more agile, much more spontaneous thanks to the short-stroke throttle grip and simply rides better. More detailed conclusion after more riding time and with a direct comparison with my colleague who has the same model and the same year of manufacture (standard condition): So when you drive with the original mapping, you think someone is holding you down at the back. Because in contrast to the update, there is almost nothing at all at the bottom of the original! I've totally forgotten that again, the update has so much more power at the bottom and the short-stroke throttle grip makes the bike so aggressive and comes on immediately! In the original, you have to turn the throttle half a turn and then it moves forward so slowly. The bubbling is mega when you take the throttle off, [...] and the constant jerking is gone in every gear! No matter which gear, the bike runs so smoothly - top top top! [...] Shifting is also much smoother and easier below 4000 rpm, much easier than the original. And the cold start phase - the loud revving up is also history. I'm really happy with the update [...] and my colleague is thrilled too! He also thought he was riding a completely different model of the moped, so thank you very much for the mega great work."

Dynamic Mapping for R12 models now available!

In response to popular demand, we have now also looked at the R12 models. Based on the existing Dynamic Mapping for the R nineT predecessor models, we have worked intensively on the R12. In detailed development and testing work, we have put together the Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R12. Our changes can be summarized as follows:

  • More power and torque
  • Optimized throttle response and shift assistant
  • Power wheelie possible
  • More emotion, more sound, more driving pleasure!

And also the first feedback - thanks again to ...

... Andreas, Germany, R12 nineT 2024: "The result is simply impressive. Whether response, thrust acoust, optimized shift assistant or the shortened throttle grip. Everything is perfectly coordinated. The machine delivers confident performance at all times and in every situation and is simply great fun. 100% recommendation!

... Hans-Peter, Germany, R12 G/S 2025:"The shift assistant is perfect. The bumps in the middle speed range when shifting up have disappeared. The automatic shifts almost like a dual-clutch gearbox, so it's really very good. Throttle response in dynamic mode: The throttle response and acceleration are extremely dynamic. The motorcycle has a completely different characteristic and has become a sports machine. Emotions come up and the grin is under the helmet. Wheeliecontrol: ... The bike is nice and light at the front and takes off. In my opinion, the power is not reduced, just as we wanted it to be. Preheating the catalytic converter: The miserable revving when cold has thankfully disappeared. ... Conclusion: I handed in my R12 G/S as a tomcat and got it back as a lion. A synthetic driving experience became an emotional one. Perfect, keep it up and all the best.

Outlook for the R nineT models: we are planning to incorporate numerous findings from the R12 work. Requests for the waiting list or development partnership will be gladly accepted.

Feedback on the V2026 mappings for BMW F900 models

As usual, and already demanded, here are 2 selected feedbacks from the development / test phase of the Power Mapping for BMW F800 F900 models.

Giacomo, Italy, BMW F900GS 2025 with racing exhaust system

"... even though the asphalt is not the best at this time of year [March], it was great to ride. With the shortened throttle grip in combination with the improved response [eGas], it's fantastic. You often find yourself at the bottom end of the stroke, the engine pushes well with nice torque and power. Already in RAIN you can feel a big difference, before this mode was dead, in dynamics it's brutal, it blasts you away - how I like it! When you pull the gears, the engine revs up, revs up, never stops and the intervention of the limiter is not felt, it's just fantastic. The shift assist and the gearbox are fantastic, fluid and at the same time dry and fast with a shot in the arm both upshifting and downshifting. ... In short, I was already able to leave 600 and 1000cc supersport bikes behind me in the passes before and now it's even easier."

Paul, Germany, BMW F900XR 2020 with standard exhaust system, update from v2023 to v2026

"In short: I'm convinced that there's nothing more that can be done to improve the electronics. Shifting: Always perfect now! Throttle response in DYNAMIC (PRO) is now so nice and crisp, just how I wanted it. The higher torque at the bottom is more than noticeable. It's may be too aggressive for others (e.g. in city traffic), but then you can quickly switch to a softer throttle response by changing the riding mode - as I said, it works perfectly for me. The new fan control is also very pleasant, it no longer boils up so much when you have to wait at traffic lights."

V2026 mappings for F800 & F900 models now available!

Making good things even better is the reason why we always ask our customers for feedback. Even though the enthusiasm for our power mapping for the F900 models is great, we have not stopped collecting potential for improvement. The new Euro 5+ models have of course also received attention, so now - after meticulous development and testing work - we are officially launching the V2026. The main improvements:

  • Now also available for F800 / F900 GS(A) from 2024 and F900 R/XR from 2025
  • More power/torque below 3,000 rpm (compared to v23, see here)
  • Improved throttle response
  • Improved shift assistant (incl. suppressed airbox patter below ~7,000 rpm)
  • Cooling fan switch-on temperature lowered to 95°C
  • Wheeliecontrol now allows small power wheelies in DYNAMIC

RS2E @ DLC 1000km Hockenheim

As a partner of the German Endurance Cup (DLC), we were right in the middle of the first race at the 1000 km Hockenheim on Holy Saturday. Impressions of an impressive day in the video (click on picture). It was great to see so many BMWs with our electronics at the start and to collect so much positive feedback on our work. We congratulate all participants on their sporting success and would like to thank Franz and his team for their hospitality and great race organization.

For those who have now tasted blood, there are 3 more DLC races this season - register here. In addition, there is of course still our motorsport sponsorship for all registered BMW starters.
