Customer feedback on Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R1200GS

We have received the following feedback on our Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R1200GS after a customer had a bad experience with a tuner from Austria. We are very pleased that the considerable development and testing effort that we put in is making a difference. Thank you Klaus for sharing your experiences with us and making them public in this way.

"I was skeptical, especially after I had already bought the "199 Euro version". What can I say, thank you very much, everything fits 100%. The shifting ace, however it works much better now, before I could only shift from the first to the second with a strong jerk, I gave up at some point because it was no fun. Now, after your work, even shifting from first to second works without jerking and soon falling off the bike - I'm thrilled. Adjustment of riding dynamics: almost no more KFR, nice vapor line from the bottom without jerking, I now really have more feeling in the throttle response - I'm thrilled. Exhaust babble: old Swede in combination with my Akra brobbel, it babbles wonderfully every time I change the throttle etc. - I'm thrilled. So thank you very much, you've won my heart, now we can start talking about you at the regulars' table :-)"

David Datzer starts the 2024 season with victory

David Datzer is starting the 2024 season as he left off in 2023. The multiple IRRC winner was able to take part in the road race in Stare Mesto in the Czech Republic for the first time and took victory straight away. But that's not all - he also improved the previous lap record with a time of 1:31.509. In addition to Datzii, who we have been supporting for years now, 2 other riders with our electronic solutions were also at the start. Jiry Petrla achieved 3rd place with his BMW S1000RR 2022, directly behind him in P4 was the third place finisher of the Landshaag 2024 hill climb (Stock 1000) - Thomas Altendorfer on his BMW S1000RR 2015.

We congratulate everyone on their sporting performance and look forward to the IRRC season and the joint further development of our Race Mapping PRO with Datzii!

RS2E @ IDM Sachsenring

The 2024 IDM season kicked off last weekend at the Sachsenring. This year, we are supporting 4 riders in the Pro Superstock 1000, continuing our development partnership with Marc Neumann and his Neumann Racing Team. In addition, with Max Riebe, Luca Felde and Maurice Mouton, 3 other riders rely on our electronic solutions for their BMW M1000RR and S1000RR. Unfortunately, Luca was unable to make the trip due to a defect in his transporter. After we were able to help Maurice sort out a technical problem on the bike, all 3 riders had a lot of fun with their BMWs and were spared crashes and defects. We were again able to gain valuable experience for the further development of our Race Mapping PRO and are happy with Marc about his first podium in the first race of the season. Congratulations again to everyone for the great sporting performance in what has become a very high-caliber class.

Customer Feedback on Dynamic Mapping for R nineT 2021+

Just in time for the start of the season, we were particularly pleased to receive feedback on our Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R nineT models from 2021. Many thanks Louis!

"Even the first few meters out of the yard felt different. When we left the village, the joy really started. All that talk of "...couldn't get the grin off my face under the helmet..." is TRUE! A more spontaneous throttle response and now a really noticeable difference between "Road" and "Dirt", which is my new "Dynamic". If I read the data on your great website, then this is out of all proportion to what I get from you. A few more horses and Nm, you might think, but numbers don't convey a feeling! My RnineT Urban G/S now rides and sounds like a motorcycle should ride and sound! And then there are the "thrust acoust". What a dry word for so much life. I love the new exhaust rumble! It was the right decision to have the mapping done by you. Many thanks again for the friendly welcome and the professional implementation!

Race Mapping PRO V2025, development already ongoing

As soon as the Race Mapping PRO V2024 has been released for everyone, further development is already ongoing. True to the motto "the better is the enemy of the good", we are already working on the 2025 version. So we were recently back on the racetrack ourselves with our BMW S1000RR 2022 and 2023. In addition, we also went to Spain in January and February together with Marc Neumann #36.

Here is a video from the Valencia test with rider Marc Neumann #36.

RS2E @ Daytona, AMA Superhooligan

The first race of the AMA Superhoolingan Series took place this year as part of the world-famous Daytona 200 race. The Daytona 200 and the Daytona Bike Week, which takes place at the same time, attract around 300,000 bikers every year. The race track is a high-speed course with banked turns and a very selective infield section. For the second time, we (Rainer on site and Robert from home for the data) were able to be part of the team around Nate Kern and, in addition to the further development of the motorcycle setup and electronics of his BMW R nineT, also take on the role of crew chief. After a promising P1 session, Nate crashed badly on his own oil in Q1 through no fault of his own. Root cause was a contact with another with another rider a few corners before where the right valve cover got damaged. Although the doctors gave him the green light to continue taking part in the remaining outings, the bike and rider were unfortunately no longer at 100%. So the time from one lap in Q1 was only enough for P9 because the bike unfortunately still showed problems in Q2 that could be traced back to the crash. R1 was again unfortunate with a flat on the front wheel which fortunately was noticed during the red phase. In the end it was enough for P9 in R2 and an impressive top speed of 170mph / 276kmh in R1 (unofficial because before the restart).

A personal thanks to Kent Soignier (GMD COMPUTRACK ATLANTA), Paul Wilson (Paul's Garage LLC), Tom, Gina and Nate for the great cooperation and hospitality we experienced. We look forward to seeing you again!

Thank you for a great 2025!

With this news article, we would like to thank all interested readers of our homepage and subscribers to our newsletter! We look back with gratitude on a great year. A year with many more highlights than those that made it into a news article. We also neglected our public relations work somewhat so that we could be there for our customers 100%. The overwhelming amount of appreciation we receive in the form of positive feedback via email, Google, telephone, etc. is our motivation to keep going. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This year, we were once again able to make a donation to the DRF Luftrettung and the Wings for Life Foundation.

The special thing behind the picture for this article: No - not the cookies on the GS! We retrofitted the original BMW seat heating to this BMW R1300GS in cooperation with Motorrad Pielmeier in Tiefenbach.

Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays and a healthy and successful 2026 season to all!

Power Mapping PRO V2026 now available!

This year we are once again working intensively on further improving our mappings for the M/S1000 models. We are starting with our Power Mapping PRO with the following new features / improvements:

  • Now also available for M1000RR from 2025, S1000XR from 2024 and S1000R from 2025
  • Completely revised combustion tuning for smoother engine running at low engine speeds/loads (mainly affects R/XR models), further improved response and slightly improved maximum torque/performance in some cases.
  • Improved throttle response; especially wider spread between "soft" and "direct"
  • Further improved shift assistant for even smoother and more precise shifting with further reduced "false neutral" risk - only RR 2023+, XR 2024+, R 2025+
  • Improved power limitation for even smoother acceleration phases with as little wheelie control intervention as possible (can be switched off via riding mode / ENGINE setting) - RR, MXR, MR models only

And also a first feedback - thanks again to Marcel, Germany, S1000XR 2021 - update from v24 to v26 + short throttle:

"Package arrived yesterday, installed straight away, short throttle grip also screwed on. Everything worked out great [...] Rough conclusion after 50 km lap: no more jerking. I also rode in every gear and really made sure to ride constantly to feel any jerking, but it's simply no longer there. The torque is similar or the same as the old mapping [...]. Apart from that, the bike is much more agile, much more spontaneous thanks to the short-stroke throttle grip and simply rides better. More detailed conclusion after more riding time and with a direct comparison with my colleague who has the same model and the same year of manufacture (standard condition): So when you drive with the original mapping, you think someone is holding you down at the back. Because in contrast to the update, there is almost nothing at all at the bottom of the original! I've totally forgotten that again, the update has so much more power at the bottom and the short-stroke throttle grip makes the bike so aggressive and comes on immediately! In the original, you have to turn the throttle half a turn and then it moves forward so slowly. The bubbling is mega when you take the throttle off, [...] and the constant jerking is gone in every gear! No matter which gear, the bike runs so smoothly - top top top! [...] Shifting is also much smoother and easier below 4000 rpm, much easier than the original. And the cold start phase - the loud revving up is also history. I'm really happy with the update [...] and my colleague is thrilled too! He also thought he was riding a completely different model of the moped, so thank you very much for the mega great work."

Dynamic Mapping for R12 models now available!

In response to popular demand, we have now also looked at the R12 models. Based on the existing Dynamic Mapping for the R nineT predecessor models, we have worked intensively on the R12. In detailed development and testing work, we have put together the Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R12. Our changes can be summarized as follows:

  • More power and torque
  • Optimized throttle response and shift assistant
  • Power wheelie possible
  • More emotion, more sound, more driving pleasure!

And also the first feedback - thanks again to ...

... Andreas, Germany, R12 nineT 2024: "The result is simply impressive. Whether response, thrust acoust, optimized shift assistant or the shortened throttle grip. Everything is perfectly coordinated. The machine delivers confident performance at all times and in every situation and is simply great fun. 100% recommendation!

... Hans-Peter, Germany, R12 G/S 2025:"The shift assistant is perfect. The bumps in the middle speed range when shifting up have disappeared. The automatic shifts almost like a dual-clutch gearbox, so it's really very good. Throttle response in dynamic mode: The throttle response and acceleration are extremely dynamic. The motorcycle has a completely different characteristic and has become a sports machine. Emotions come up and the grin is under the helmet. Wheeliecontrol: ... The bike is nice and light at the front and takes off. In my opinion, the power is not reduced, just as we wanted it to be. Preheating the catalytic converter: The miserable revving when cold has thankfully disappeared. ... Conclusion: I handed in my R12 G/S as a tomcat and got it back as a lion. A synthetic driving experience became an emotional one. Perfect, keep it up and all the best.

Outlook for the R nineT models: we are planning to incorporate numerous findings from the R12 work. Requests for the waiting list or development partnership will be gladly accepted.

Feedback on the V2026 mappings for BMW F900 models

As usual, and already demanded, here are 2 selected feedbacks from the development / test phase of the Power Mapping for BMW F800 F900 models.

Giacomo, Italy, BMW F900GS 2025 with racing exhaust system

"... even though the asphalt is not the best at this time of year [March], it was great to ride. With the shortened throttle grip in combination with the improved response [eGas], it's fantastic. You often find yourself at the bottom end of the stroke, the engine pushes well with nice torque and power. Already in RAIN you can feel a big difference, before this mode was dead, in dynamics it's brutal, it blasts you away - how I like it! When you pull the gears, the engine revs up, revs up, never stops and the intervention of the limiter is not felt, it's just fantastic. The shift assist and the gearbox are fantastic, fluid and at the same time dry and fast with a shot in the arm both upshifting and downshifting. ... In short, I was already able to leave 600 and 1000cc supersport bikes behind me in the passes before and now it's even easier."

Paul, Germany, BMW F900XR 2020 with standard exhaust system, update from v2023 to v2026

"In short: I'm convinced that there's nothing more that can be done to improve the electronics. Shifting: Always perfect now! Throttle response in DYNAMIC (PRO) is now so nice and crisp, just how I wanted it. The higher torque at the bottom is more than noticeable. It's may be too aggressive for others (e.g. in city traffic), but then you can quickly switch to a softer throttle response by changing the riding mode - as I said, it works perfectly for me. The new fan control is also very pleasant, it no longer boils up so much when you have to wait at traffic lights."
