After an impressive season in the European BMW Boxercup, the winner is Carsten Müller on his BMW R1250GS. 7 out of 11 possible victories are a truly impressive record. This underlines for example a best time at the Pannoniaring with 2:09 and a top speed of 229km at the Slovakiaring - mind you with a GS! Carsten trusts among other things on our Dynamic Mapping which we have individually adapted to the race track usage in this case. We accompany Carsten already the 2nd season and use the partnership for the further development of our services.
We congratulate Carsten, as well as all participants of the BMW Boxercup (especially the others with RS2E electronics) to a great season and hope for a continuation next year!
Far too rarely have we reported here this year about the International Roadracing Championship (IRRC). This weekend, the IRRC final event - Frohburger Dreieck (all info here) - is on the schedule. Reason enough to pay tribute to the excellent performances of the many BMW riders in the starting field with RS2E electronics so far.
Last year's vice champion David Datzer is concentrating this year on TT events such as the Isle of Man and, due to scheduling conflicts, will only compete in the IRRC as a guest entrant. Then, however, impressively as for example in the Czech Horice where he could bring in a double victory in the comfortable distance in each case. In addition, he was even able to leave Peter Hickman behind him in Imatra (FIN) in one of the 4 races.
Before the Frohburger Dreieck race the IRRC champion is already fixed, behind him the IRRC champion of 2021 Didier Grams and the more and more strong Patrick Hoff fight for the vice title. Didier, this season again a permanent fixture on the podium, should be hard to beat in his home race. But Patrick Hoff has already shown several times this season that he is now a force to be reckoned with - among other things with the maximum points from the IRRC races in Schleiz. The battle for 4th place in the championship is between Markus Karlsson and Johannes Schwimmbeck, who have also improved significantly this season and can now both be found regularly in the top 5. Luca Gottardi, currently in 8th place in the championship, will also be back on the grid with his Penz13 BMW, as will Marcel Elsner, who is back in the IRRC after a serious injury at the beginning of the season.
We wish all riders good luck and say thanks for the trustful partnership!
IDM Superbike 1000 and Superstock Cup 1000: Again we were at the start in Most(CZ) and Schleiz(DE) with Neumann Racing by Tommy Wagner. Like last year Marc Neumann started with a double start in both 1000cc classes while Marc-Rainer Schmidt unfortunately had to cancel the planned guest start in Schleiz due to injury. For us, of course, was again the further development of our Race Mapping PRO together with the best possible setting of electronics and suspension of Marc's BMW M1000RR in the foreground. Besides 2x P2, the team around Marc Neumann could impress especially in Schleiz with the pole position and almost 200 timed laps under 1:29 without any defect or crash. In the Superstock Cup were also with RS2E electronics the drivers Patrick Hoff (temporarily on P4), Bastian Ubl and David Müller on the road with very respectable lap times and results.
| Event | Rider | Fastest lap | Superstock R1 / R2 | Superbike R1 / R2 |
| Most | Marc Neumann | 1:36.1 | P6 / P2 | P18 / P17 |
| Patrick Hoff | 1:36.9 | DNF / DNF | - | |
| Bastian Ubl | 1:38.6 | DNS / DNS | - | |
| David Mueller | 1:38.7 | P23 / P23 | - | |
| Schleiz | Marc Neumann | 1:26.6 | P2 / P8 | P18 / P19 |
| Bastian Ubl | 1:29.8 | P24 / P22 | - |
Congratulations and thanks to all for two great weekends!

Also for the BMW F750 we already offer the Power Mapping in the again improved version 2023. This mapping is also available for all F850 models of the K8x series. In addition, we had already developed a Power Mapping for the F800 models last year which we unfortunately only now manage to publish.
Fittingly, here is the feedback on the Power Mapping for the F800 - thanks André!
Thanks again for your work on my F800 GS ... I'm very happy with the result! Better throttle, drives better and I like the exhaust bangs too. Still have fun with your work and that you have enough of it. Recommendation is guaranteed.
Andre F., Germany, F800GS 2017
And another customer feedback about the Power Mapping for the F750 incl. short throttle grip - thanks Henry!
"Yes so we wanted to tell you again that we are fully satisfied with the conversion measures on the GS 750. We have driven in the past season about 8000km. Among other things, it has taken us as far as the Faroe Islands. ... With the "short" throttle we get along very well respectively the handling is much better and that the rev limiter goes much softer is more important than the possible more HP.
Henry F., Germany, F750GS 2019
Finally we can offer our improved Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R1200 and R1250 models, driven by customer feedback to improve the shift assistant in the area of comfort shifting / pillion operation. In addition, we have spent a lot of time to integrate a rich sounding thrust acoustics in the R12x0 models. Finally, the V2023 also deactivates catalyst heating (increased idle speed after engine start), which makes for better throttle response while reducing noise pollution to the neighborhood.
Fittingly, here's feedback from a test customer - thanks Michael:
"I tried out my bike with your optimization this weekend. In the road program I have already noticed how beautifully the machine can be shifted up and down with the automatic gearshift, different than before but what then went off in Dynamic in terms of thrust, thrust acoustics in conjunction with the automatic gearshift was phenomenal. The sound when upshifting and the horny bubbling when downshifting is simply brilliant. That's what a BMW boxer must sound like. I almost had "Pippi" in the eyes. High praise and thanks...
Michael S., Germany, R1200R 2015
PS: Picture 2 comes from a very special R1250GS 2021 of an also very satisfied test customer - Thanks Volker!
David Datzer has been relying on our electronics for years and was already back in action twice after the NorthWest 200 (see news article from May 14, 2023). Unfortunately, the IRRC round in Hořice had to be cancelled due to a serious accident and Datzii was declared the winner based on the qualifying result. After that it went directly to the Isle of Man TT where Datzii, after a training week marked by problems, despite fewer laps in the race, replaced the previous record of the fastest German on the island by Rico Penzkofer. A detailed report can be read here.
Congratulations to Datzii and the whole MTP-Racing Team! We keep our fingers crossed for more top results, next weekend it already continues in the IRRC Imatra...
Last weekend, the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC) was held in Schleiz, Thuringia. Six of the riders supported by us were able to achieve a top 10 finish. Marc-Reiner Schmidt and Marc Neumann from the Neumann Racing by Tommy Wagner team were there primarily to use the guest start in the IRRC as preparation for the IDM round in July. IRRC regular rider Patrick Hoff - also from the Neumann Racing team - had an absolutely brilliant weekend with a double victory (adjusted for guest starters) and is now P2 in the IRRC overall standings. Special attention has the local hero Julian Puffe (known from IDM and EWC) with 2xP2 results. Julian was on the 100th anniversary of the natural race track Schleizer Dreieck for the first time on an extremely close to stock BMW S1000RR 2021 (with ABS, with electronic chassis) and could impressively show that nowadays you do not have to change much to be able to move a superbike really fast.
| Rider | Fastest lap | R1 | R2 |
| Marc-Rainer Schmidt | 1:26.5 | P1 | P1 |
| Julian Puffe | 1:26.7 | P2 | P2 |
| Marc Neumann | 1:26.6 | P7 | P4 |
| Patrick Hoff | 1:27.0 | P4 | P5 |
| Didier Grams | 1:27.4 | P8 | P7 |
| Johannes Schwimmbeck | 1:28.7 | P11 | P10 |
Congratulations to all, and furthermore good recovery to Tommy Wagner and Marcel Elsner.
With this news article, we would like to thank all interested readers of our homepage and subscribers to our newsletter! We look back with gratitude on a great year. A year with many more highlights than those that made it into a news article. We also neglected our public relations work somewhat so that we could be there for our customers 100%. The overwhelming amount of appreciation we receive in the form of positive feedback via email, Google, telephone, etc. is our motivation to keep going. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This year, we were once again able to make a donation to the DRF Luftrettung and the Wings for Life Foundation.
The special thing behind the picture for this article: No - not the cookies on the GS! We retrofitted the original BMW seat heating to this BMW R1300GS in cooperation with Motorrad Pielmeier in Tiefenbach.
Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays and a healthy and successful 2026 season to all!
Robert and Rainer
This year we are once again working intensively on further improving our mappings for the M/S1000 models. We are starting with our Power Mapping PRO with the following new features / improvements:
And also a first feedback - thanks again to Marcel, Germany, S1000XR 2021 - update from v24 to v26 + short throttle:
"Package arrived yesterday, installed straight away, short throttle grip also screwed on. Everything worked out great [...] Rough conclusion after 50 km lap: no more jerking. I also rode in every gear and really made sure to ride constantly to feel any jerking, but it's simply no longer there. The torque is similar or the same as the old mapping [...]. Apart from that, the bike is much more agile, much more spontaneous thanks to the short-stroke throttle grip and simply rides better. More detailed conclusion after more riding time and with a direct comparison with my colleague who has the same model and the same year of manufacture (standard condition): So when you drive with the original mapping, you think someone is holding you down at the back. Because in contrast to the update, there is almost nothing at all at the bottom of the original! I've totally forgotten that again, the update has so much more power at the bottom and the short-stroke throttle grip makes the bike so aggressive and comes on immediately! In the original, you have to turn the throttle half a turn and then it moves forward so slowly. The bubbling is mega when you take the throttle off, [...] and the constant jerking is gone in every gear! No matter which gear, the bike runs so smoothly - top top top! [...] Shifting is also much smoother and easier below 4000 rpm, much easier than the original. And the cold start phase - the loud revving up is also history. I'm really happy with the update [...] and my colleague is thrilled too! He also thought he was riding a completely different model of the moped, so thank you very much for the mega great work."
In response to popular demand, we have now also looked at the R12 models. Based on the existing Dynamic Mapping for the R nineT predecessor models, we have worked intensively on the R12. In detailed development and testing work, we have put together the Dynamic Mapping for the BMW R12. Our changes can be summarized as follows:
And also the first feedback - thanks again to ...
... Andreas, Germany, R12 nineT 2024: "The result is simply impressive. Whether response, thrust acoust, optimized shift assistant or the shortened throttle grip. Everything is perfectly coordinated. The machine delivers confident performance at all times and in every situation and is simply great fun. 100% recommendation!
... Hans-Peter, Germany, R12 G/S 2025:"The shift assistant is perfect. The bumps in the middle speed range when shifting up have disappeared. The automatic shifts almost like a dual-clutch gearbox, so it's really very good. Throttle response in dynamic mode: The throttle response and acceleration are extremely dynamic. The motorcycle has a completely different characteristic and has become a sports machine. Emotions come up and the grin is under the helmet. Wheeliecontrol: ... The bike is nice and light at the front and takes off. In my opinion, the power is not reduced, just as we wanted it to be. Preheating the catalytic converter: The miserable revving when cold has thankfully disappeared. ... Conclusion: I handed in my R12 G/S as a tomcat and got it back as a lion. A synthetic driving experience became an emotional one. Perfect, keep it up and all the best.
Outlook for the R nineT models: we are planning to incorporate numerous findings from the R12 work. Requests for the waiting list or development partnership will be gladly accepted.
As usual, and already demanded, here are 2 selected feedbacks from the development / test phase of the Power Mapping for BMW F800 F900 models.
Giacomo, Italy, BMW F900GS 2025 with racing exhaust system
"... even though the asphalt is not the best at this time of year [March], it was great to ride. With the shortened throttle grip in combination with the improved response [eGas], it's fantastic. You often find yourself at the bottom end of the stroke, the engine pushes well with nice torque and power. Already in RAIN you can feel a big difference, before this mode was dead, in dynamics it's brutal, it blasts you away - how I like it! When you pull the gears, the engine revs up, revs up, never stops and the intervention of the limiter is not felt, it's just fantastic. The shift assist and the gearbox are fantastic, fluid and at the same time dry and fast with a shot in the arm both upshifting and downshifting. ... In short, I was already able to leave 600 and 1000cc supersport bikes behind me in the passes before and now it's even easier."
Paul, Germany, BMW F900XR 2020 with standard exhaust system, update from v2023 to v2026
"In short: I'm convinced that there's nothing more that can be done to improve the electronics. Shifting: Always perfect now! Throttle response in DYNAMIC (PRO) is now so nice and crisp, just how I wanted it. The higher torque at the bottom is more than noticeable. It's may be too aggressive for others (e.g. in city traffic), but then you can quickly switch to a softer throttle response by changing the riding mode - as I said, it works perfectly for me. The new fan control is also very pleasant, it no longer boils up so much when you have to wait at traffic lights."
